Hydrogen Leak Sparks Fire at Goodrich Plant
A fire was sparked by a hydrogen leak at a Goodrich plant around 9:50 a.m. Friday, safety officials said. "Apparently the hydrogen caused a fire when it hit the air," said Chief Alex Rodriguez of the Santa Fe Springs Department of Fire-Rescue. The fire started in a pipe that brings highly combustible hydrogen to the oven. It ignited, he said, likely from just the friction of the gas running out of the pipe.
